Farming and ranching are among the highest in rates of fatalities and serious injuries in the workplace. It continues to rank as one of the most dangerous professions in the United States. Training farmers and ranchers in the safe operation of machinery and as well as the importance of using protective equipment can reduce accidents on the farm. National Farmers Union has a series of safety videos designed to help farmers and ranchers take more caution in their work.
